Maria has recently been working on a collaborative project with another author, Darcia Helle. Together they have published a new book of 12 short stories inspired by photographs, PERSPECTIVES. The idea for the book came from the photographer Martin David Porter of Mart's Arts Photography, who provided the photographs and asked Maria and Darcia to write short stories inspired by what they saw in the photos. The result is a fascinating collection of mixed genre short stories ranging from horror to fantasy. The team had so much fun with this project that they have now decided to write a series of books, The Mind's Eye Series. They have already started work on the second book, which will include poetry as well as short stories. They will be joined by photographer and poet Helle Gade, poet Ben Ditmars, and authors Jason McIntyre and J. Michael Radcliffe.
